Cityscape

Cityscape is a collage and digital painting created for my Studio Art Critique class. It took about two months to complete this project which incorporated a collage of skyscrapers based on a poem by James Agee.

While in Photoshop, this collage would be made up of mixed media while still having that handmade feel. To do so, the original collages were scanned and pieces of the buildings were taken and weaved into the digital iteration. The colors were saturated and vibrant while keeping those markers and brush strokes.

Typefaces were different because part of the inspiration from the poem was that not everything is the same, so the typefaces for almost every line should be different.
