Moon Brew

Moon Brew is a conceptual book with similar plots for two different audiences. It was another project for my graphic design capstone. From concept to reality, it took about a month, using primarily Photoshop and Illustrator. The cover with the eclipse and people is geared towards 18-24 year olds while the cover with the Lochness Monster and moon is geared towards 7-14 year olds.

Moon Brew is a book about the eclipse in a science fiction genre. Aside from the eclipse, each story has a student, their friend, an interest in science, and a trip involved.

Each book cover was based on the target audience. For the 18-24 year olds, that cover is emotional and delicate, while the one for the 7-14 year olds is playful and jaunty. The color palette was dark and bold because of how the sun became blocked by the moon. Since the primary differentiating factor is what is portrayed on the cover.
